NEW FOR YEAR COURSE 20-21: ALL YEAR COURSERS WILL PARTICIPATE IN A TRIP TO POLAND AT NO EXTRA COST!

We are thrilled to offer our educational trip to Poland to all Year Coursers included in the regular tuition beginning in program year 2020-2021. Each section will travel together – Kedma in November and Yama in April – to learn and reflect while bearing witness to history and working for a better future.

Our other international trips take Year Coursers to some of the world’s most interesting destinations – whether volunteering and touring in Rwanda, repairng the world in Mumbai, India,  or learning about Jewish history in Morocco – Year Coursers become true world citizens, enriching their futures and figuring out just what they’re made of!

Kuma: Poland

A one-week journey to Poland which offers Year Course participants an opportunity to look at the events surrounding the Holocaust through a Zionist prism, to explore the rich heritage of Eastern European Jewry, to bear witness to the tragedy and to look towards the future. (Included for ALL Year Coursers.)

Tikkun Olam: Rwanda

Live, learn, and volunteer at the Agahozo Shalom Youth Village in Rwanda. Delve into the country’s complex history and rich culture, connect with peers, and develop a unique understanding of life in Rwanda through volunteering, hands-on learning, and extensive touring through this beautiful country.

Olami: Morocco

Focus on the experience of the Moroccan Jews who lived under Muslim rule since the 7th century and created a unique and rich heritage. Visit Casablanca, stroll around the colorful markets of Marrakesh, take in the breathtaking views of the Atlas Mountains and gain insight into the history of Moroccan-Jewish culture.

Tikkun Olam: India

Working with the Gabriel Project Mumbai, participants will have sessions in global poverty, Jewish perspectives of development, international development theory, Indian culture, spoken Hindi classes, and opportunities to connect with the Jewish community as well as teaching English to children in the city.
