YJ Teens Spearhead Pittsburgh Jewish Teen Council
This year, Pittsburgh YJ Teens pioneered the Pittsburgh Jewish Teen Council, bringing together teen leaders from Young Judaea, BBYO, USY, and Rodef Shalom/Temple Sinai to plan a first-of-its-kind community program.
Their efforts culminated in a citywide Challah Bake where teens explored Jewish identity, built new connections, and participated in hands-on social action projects focused on education, immigration, and the environment.
Made possible through a grant from the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh, the initiative showcased YJ’s teen leaders as the driving force behind bringing Pittsburgh’s Jewish teen community together!
