How do you define community? How does your community influence your decisions and your identity? How do you reconcile your different communities?
Come contemplate these questions and more with new and old friends in Atlanta with Young Judaea! If you want to explore who you are and your place in the world! National Midwinter 2019 is the place and the time! We’ll talk about everything community with the best community ever. Join us February 15th-18th for an incredibly meaningful time of soul searching, great discussion, and four days of non-stop fun with your friends!
You can also be a part of choosing Young Judaea’s new Mazkirut and vote on initiatives and directions for Young Judaea. We will spend our last day (Monday) in Atlanta, Georgia, for a service day in one of the most interesting and diverse cities in the United States.
Finally, if you are planning on Year Course, you will take part in some very special and meaningful programs that will help to prepare you for your year to come.
National Midwinter Convention will be held at a wonderful camp called Camp Twin Lakes: Will-a-Way about an hour outside of Atlanta, GA over Presidents’ Day Weekend (February 15th-18th, 2019). If you are interested in seeing what the camp looks like, click here. Every year, Jewish teen leaders and high school students, grades 9-12, have gathered to observe Shabbat together and take part in a program focusing on Zionism, Pluralism, Tikkun Olam, and tangible leadership skills.
