Come make an impact in North Carolina!
We are excited to share an opportunity for your teen to join us for a meaningful and impactful weekend of service, community, and connection as part of our Camp Judaea & Young Judaea Teens Tikkun Olam Weekend! Participants will engage in hands-on disaster recovery efforts in Western North Carolina, helping rebuild homes and clear debris for families affected by Hurricane Helene in partnership with Nechama – a Jewish Disaster Response organization.
Key Details:
Dates: Sunday, February 16- Monday, February 17
Cost: $200
Travel: Participants will fly in and out of Asheville airport. Transportation from Atlanta will be provided
Lodging: Participants will stay at a nearby hotel with up to three other teens of the same sex.
Volunteer Requirements: The volunteer work will include physical labor such as lifting (up to 15 pounds) and standing/walking for up to two hours at a time. Minimum age 14.
Community Service Hours: Participants can earn 12 hours of community service
