HOWEVER, IF YOU ARE STILL PLANNING TO COME, REMEMBER THE FOLLOWING:

Please text Sharon at 5167612562 if you need any immediate answers.  Only urgent matters on Shabbat please.

We had an overwhelming response this year and needed not only to find more volunteer opportunities, but also MOVE the overnight (THE PROGRAM AND SLEEPING PORTION) FROM the Young Judaea office TO A NEW VENUE.  Those driving in should be thrilled not to have to deal with Midtown traffic on Saturday night.

PLEASE NOTE THE CHANGE IN LOCATION FOR THE OVERNIGHT!!!
The overnight will begin at 7:00pm and will taking place at SAJ (Society for the Advancement of Judaism). The address is 15 West 86th Street New York, New York 10024.  This site is walkable from the B & C train line, as well as from the 1 if your teen is heading in from Penn Station or Port Authority.

Pick up will be at the volunteer sites or your teen can travel by train or bus to their destination.

The teens will be split for the volunteering and go with their assigned staff. We will be providing metro card swipes for the teens to get to the volunteering and if necessary, back to their destination.

The two sites (you should know from the email where you are going:

a. East Harlem Scholar’s Academy 1573 Madison Avenue, New York, NY 10029. The program will be ending at 2:00pm.  We will wait for those teens to be picked up and others to head out to the train.  We can have staff members bring the teens to the subway to make their way home.

b. Harlem JCC – 318 W. 118th Street. New York, NY 10026. The program will be ending at 12:30pm.  We will wait for those teens to be picked up and others to head out to the train.  We can have staff members bring the teens to the subway to make their way home.

  1. ALL PARENTS SHOULD REPLY TO THIS EMAIL THAT THEY ARE AWARE OF THE CHANGE IN LOCATION
  2. PLEASE REPLY WITH THE MODE OF ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE YOUR TEEN WILL BE TAKING FOR THIS EVENT (I.E.DROPPING OFF AT SAJ AND PICKING UP FROM VOLUNTEERING; TEEN TAKING TRAIN ETC.)
