Tel Aviv-Yafo is Israel's cultural capital, home to hi-tech, music and theater, incredible food, beautiful beaches, and some of the most important sites in modern Israeli history. Year Course takes you into the heart of the thriving and modern city through tours, workshops, and encounters with cutting edge technology, culture, arts, and so much more.

Tel Aviv Tracks

The primary focus for each participant during the Tel Aviv semester is their "track," the activity in which they will engage four days a week, building skills and experience that will last them a lifetime. Participants choose ONE of the following track options for their semester in Tel Aviv.

Internship Track

Year Course interns engage in hands-on experiences within diverse industries, ranging from technology and entrepreneurship to arts and culture. This experience not only offers practical skills but also fosters cultural exchange and networking among young individuals from around the world. It's important to highlight that securing internship placements entails preliminary interviews and skills assessments, and placement itself is not guaranteed.

MDA Medical Track

Explore an engaging educational program that combines hands-on experience on the ground, including training and volunteering with Magen David Adom (MDA). Interact with leading health professionals, collaborate with Israeli paramedics, take part in insightful tours and workshops, and discover what it truly means to dedicate yourself to saving lives. As full-fledged members of an MDA ambulance team, participants embark on eight-hour shifts alongside Israeli volunteers in the Tel Aviv area. You'll serve as first responders, assisting those in need, and gaining valuable insights into the world of medicine.

Marva - IDF Army Track

Are you ready to be a part of something extraordinary? Do you dream of seeing Israel from a completely new perspective? Are you eager to challenge yourself and reach your limits? Marva offers a distinctive 8-week opportunity to immerse yourself in the beauty and trials of Israel through the eyes of the IDF. Engage in real-life training, live in genuine army conditions, and take part in hikes, drills, and physical activities. Throughout the program, strict military-style discipline prevails, creating a rewarding and demanding experience.

Tech & Coding Track

Participate in an exclusive coding boot camp cultivating Israel's future tech leaders. The program offers immersive web and mobile development courses with industry mentors. While internships aren't guaranteed, participants engage in conferences with startup and tech company representatives, fostering personal connections that enhance internship prospects. This intensive boot camp equips individuals with cutting-edge skills and valuable networking opportunities in Israel's thriving tech landscape.

Kibbutz Ketura Volunteer

Kibbutz Ketura, established by Young Judaea alumni, is Year Course's base in the beautiful Arava Valley. Participants enjoy a two month period of residence and volunteering on the kibbutz, which offers breathtaking desert panoramas, a vibrant and inclusive Jewish atmosphere, and pioneering ecological industries. Living and volunteering on the kibbutz provides an authentic communal experience. Whether you're sharing meals with fellow members or residing alongside volunteers from diverse corners of Israel and the world, you'll gain a genuine understanding of what it's like to thrive in a cooperative environment.
