-4 star hotel accommodation in Tel Aviv and a stay at Kibbutz Ketura

Who is eligible to attend this trip?
Young Judaeans (and friends/family of Judaeans) 18+
What will be the total cost of the program and what expenses will it cover?
$2,100 for a shared room, $2,700 for a single room. This includes accommodation, transportation, kosher meals, security, tour guide, and 6-day complete itinerary. *Airfare is not included.
What is the refund policy?
-If you cancel before January 15 – $500 non-refundable + hotel cancellation fees (TBA)
-If you cancel after January 15 – entire trip payment is non-refundable
-If YJ decides to cancel trip due to safety concerns by January 21st – $500 non-refundable + hotel cancellation fees (TBA)
*Young Judaea reserves the right to cancel this trip at any time if security for the group is compromised.
Will the cost of the program include meals?
Kosher meals will be provided. There will be up to four meals during the trip that you will be responsible for.
Can participants observe Shabbat during the program?
Yes all programming on Friday and Saturday will be Shabbat friendly.
Travel + Food
What documents will be required for the trip (travel insurance, visa, passport, etc.)?
Confirm your passport is valid six months from travel date. Visa is not required. Travel insurance is not required but recommended.
Will there be guidelines for booking flights?
Participants will be responsible for booking their own flights. We highly recommend booking fully refundable tickets as the situation is evolving every day. All participants should arrive on your own to the Dan Panorama hotel in Tel Aviv on Sunday, January 28th. Please be prepared to be dropped off at the airport around 10 PM on Saturday February 3rd and plan flights accordingly.
How will transportation be arranged for the group between different places?
We will provide private bus transportation throughout the trip (not including transportation upon arrival to Israel.) We will be providing bus service from Ketura to the airport on Saturday evening February 3. If you are not leaving Israel that evening, please arrange personal plans from Ben Gurion. We will arrive around 10pm.
Can participants request specific roommates or opt not to share a room?
Yes once the trip is filled we will contact the group to get your roommate requests. For an additional $600 (trip total $2700) you can have your own room.
Volunteering and Activities
What types of volunteer activities will participants engage in?
Our volunteer experiences will be based on the constantly changing needs of Israeli society, most likely in agricultural and industrial settings. We will offer a couple of different types of volunteer activities each day, some more or less physically demanding.
How many hours per day will participants be expected to volunteer?
4-6 hours of volunteering per day, 3-4 days during the trip.
What other types of activities will there be?
Educational visits and encounters with Israelis and Young Judaeans in Israel, free time to meet with friends and share Shabbat, visits to Kibbutz Ketura and Beit-Hillel to spend time with Year Coursers, and more.

What security measures will be implemented throughout the program?
There will be an armed guard/medic with the group the entire trip.
How will the program be equipped to handle worsening security situations on the ground?
The tour operators will assess the security situation daily and we will reroute if an area we plan to go to becomes unsafe.
Will the housing accommodations include a safe room?
Yes, hotels and the Kibbutz will have a safe room or safe area in the event of a siren.
