Just a handful of the incredible days you’ll experience on this unique three week trip!
Arrive in Israel and travel to Tel Aviv. After getting to know each other, get an introduction to Israel’s LGBTQ+ culture at Bar Noar, the Tel Aviv Branch of the Israeli LGBT Association.
Rise and Shine! Visit the Tel Aviv Gay Center in beautiful Gan Meir to learn about the services the city provides to it’s LGBTQ+ population, followed by a special lunch at Cafe Landwer in the park. Then take a street art tour in Florentin, dubbed the Bushwick of Tel Aviv, before enjoying a free evening in the city.
Ascend to Jerusalem and tour the Old City, putting a note in the Western Wall and learning the incredible religious history of the city. Then, meet with Israeli and Palestinian members of the Jerusalem Open House, learn about the services the JOH provides and hear about the conflict from the perspective of its members.
Have a meaningful morning visit to Yad Vashem, Israel’s Holocaust museum, and then tour Mt. Herzl, the country’s national military cemetery, to learn more about the nation’s political and military history. Relax with a free evening down on Ben Yehuda Street.
Take an early morning hike up Masada followed by a float in the Dead Sea and some world famous Dead Sea mud! Then head to the Western Negev to experience Bedouin Hospitality, riding camels and spending a night under the stars.
Start the day with a kayak trip down the Jordan River, then tour the mystical city of Tzfat. Afterwards, meet with a group focused on co-existence among Israel’s diverse communities, and plant a tree in JNF’s Pride Forest.
