Amirim Summer in Israel

You've got important questions - we've got answers.

More questions? Our full FAQ will be live soon!
Who is Eligible for Amirim Internship or Volunteering?

Our program is open to English-speaking, Jewish young adults between the ages
of 18 and 26 who are ready to spend a meaningful summer in Israel.

Is it Safe to Visit Israel?

The safety of our participants is Young Judaea Israel's number one priority. Participants will receive an in-depth safety and security briefing on arrival in Israel. All housing will include secure spaces, and all volunteering and trips will take place only after approval from our security consultants. Activities will only take place in areas deemed safe to do so.

Can I do Amirim if I've Already Done a Masa Israel Program?

Amirim is not a Masa Israel Journey program - in fact, many of our participants are alumni of other Masa gap year or short-term career programs who want to have another incredible Israel experience!

Are There Scholarships Available for Amirim?

We strongly recommend that you contact your local Jewish Federation, JCC, synagogue, Hillel, or other local Jewish organizations for assistance.

Young Judaea Israel offers a limited amount of financial aid and will consider applications on a case-by-case basis.
