Camp Young Judaea Texas

CYJ-Texas is built on fun! Even more than that, we’ve designed a program where each child feels good about their strengths, respects the strengths of others, and knows that together, we can do great things. Everyone at CYJ can be themselves and know they belong, be it through sports, adventures, art, exploration, or bonding with friends.

Our main summer program offers 2 sessions of 3.5 weeks each. It’s a co-ed, residential camp experience, for 7-15 year olds and we offer an abbreviated, introductory program for 2nd and 3rd graders. The day-to-day camp schedule is built to offer opportunities for individual campers, bunks, age groups, and the camp as a whole, to play, learn, and grow. When CYJ’ers reach high school, they begin an exciting journey, often becoming staff members:

  • Campers entering 9th grade enjoy our world-famous Segel trip, a 13-day summer adventure across the Southwest.
  • Rising 10th graders are part of Bonim, our unique leadership and sustainability program, living in our Teen Village and learning to make a difference in their own way.
  • Starting in 2018, campers entering 11th grade will begin their summer in Wimberley…then take off on our unforgettable Machon program, exploring Israel for six weeks!
  • When campers reach 12th grade, they become eligible for our Counselor in Training (CIT) experience, an opportunity to develop professional skills, carry on our camp philosophy and continue having amazing summers
