Founded in 1909, Young Judaea is the oldest Zionist youth movement in the United States. It seeks to build Jewish identity and Zionist commitment in American Jewish youth and young adults.

Local and National Programs

Meet Jewish kids your age…learn more about your Jewish identity…experience Israeli culture…and have a great time? It’s all possible with Young Judaea’s year-round programs.

All year long, groups of Young Judaeans get together for exciting programs, weekend conventions, Shabbat and holiday celebrations, social events, parades, rallies, and so much more.

It’s just the right balance of fun with social action, peer leadership, and Zionist education. You’ll feel a bond with Israel and Judaism – and with other Jewish kids just like you – in no time.

Young Judaea’s year-round programs are divided up into age groups and regions so you can meet kids your age, in your area:

Here are just a few examples of the many events that Young Judaeans experience year-round:

CONVENTIONS

Want to turn a plain old weekend into a dynamite retreat? Join us for a Young Judaea convention! Celebrate Shabbat while meeting other Jewish kids from all around the country…learning about Israel, Judaism, and Jewish culture…playing sports and games…enjoying Israeli singing and dancing…and more.

LOCAL PROGRAMS

Connect with Israel and enhance your Jewish identity while having fun and hanging out with other Jewish kids from your area! Young Judaea’s local programs are held one to four times per month in many local cities and communities.

EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES

Young Judaea takes pride in the Jewish and Zionist education it has to offer. Many of our educational activities are fun and informal, so you can learn about Judaism and Israel in a creative and exciting way!

ACTIVISM

As a Zionist youth movement with an emphasis on leadership and social action, our members enthusiastically embrace every chance they get to show their support for Israel and other Jewish and world causes. This type of social action is a major pillar of Young Judaea, and emphasizes the importance of Tikkun Olam – you and I can change the world!

PEER LEADERSHIP

Young Judaea is a peer-led movement, building strong, responsible leaders for the future of Judaism and Israel. We encourage each and every member to take on a leadership role within Young Judaea – as a member of national or regional mazkirut (governing board) or other position – that will allow them to educate their peers and serve as role models for Jewish youth, while doing something they truly love.
