1. Privacy Philosophy

Young Judaea believes that electronic privacy is crucial to the ongoing success of the Internet as a service, and as a commercial, and entertainment medium, and therefore uses its reasonable efforts to protect the confidentiality of your personal information. The personal information we receive from our Website is used solely for our own business purposes and as we may otherwise be directed by you (e.g. to process a donation or to receive additional information about a Young Judaea Program). Young Judaea does not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to others. Young Judaea does not disclose information about your individual visits to our Website, or personal information that you provide to us, such as your name, address, email address, telephone number, credit card number, etc., to any outside parties except as directed by you or when we believe, in good faith, (i) that the law requires it, or (ii) that disclosure is necessary to protect the rights and property of Young Judaea, our program participants or others, (iii) that your actions on our Website violate the Terms and Conditions stated herein, (iv) that we need to send the information to companies or individuals who work on behalf of Young Judaea to process transactions for, or provide a product or service to, you or to Young Judaea or (vi) that it is necessary for Young Judaea business purposes.

2. Collection of Personal Information

In the following circumstances we will ask you to provide us with certain information about yourself by filling out and submitting an online form:

  • Enrolling in a Young Judaea camp, Israel or other Young Judaea program
  • Making an online donation
  • Purchasing an item online
  • Registering as a Young Judaea alumni

We may also ask you for information under other circumstances.

It is completely optional for you to engage in these activities. If you elect to engage in these activities, however, we may require that you provide us with personal information, such as your name, postal address, e-mail address, and other personal identifying information. Data collected by Young Judaea is maintained on computer databases within the United States. This Website is not intended for use outside the United States. Young Judaea makes no claims that the content or any other information available on this Website may be lawfully viewed or accessed outside of the United States. Access to the same may not be legal by certain persons or in certain countries. If you access this Website from outside of the United States, you do so at your own risk and are responsible for compliance with the laws of your jurisdiction.

Although persons of all ages may visit our Website and obtain information that does not require that we collect their personal information, Young Judaea does not knowingly or intentionally collect personal information from children under the age of 13. Young Judaea will automatically reject the registration or entry made by any person that enters a birth date indicating they are under the age of 13.

3. Is Credit Card Information Secure?

We care about the safety and security of your transaction. We use high grade encryption and the https security protocol to communicate with your browser software. This method is a commonly used security protocol, which makes it difficult for anyone else to intercept the credit card information you send to us. Young Judaea has implemented reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to secure your personal information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration or disclosure. However, Young Judaea cannot guarantee that unauthorized third parties will never be able to defeat those measures or use your personal information for improper purposes.

4. How Do We Use “Cookies”?

7. Use of IP Address

Among other things, Young Judaea uses your computer’s IP (Internet Protocol) address to:

  • Administer our Website
