Who are you? How does the world influence your Identity? Do aspects of your Identity conflict? Identity is something many people struggle with and the best place to figure out who you are is in an open and accepting community. Come contemplate life with new and old friends in Atlanta with Young Judaea! Explore who you are and your place in the world! National Midwinter 2017 can be this community for you! We’ll talk about everything from internal to external Identity, how we define ourselves and our connection to others and the world. Join us February 17-20th for an incredibly meaningful time of soul searching, great discussion, and four days of non-stop fun with your friends!
You can also be a part of choosing Young Judaea’s new Mazkirut and vote on initiatives and directions for Young Judaea. Finally, you have a choice to join us for a volunteer day in Atlanta, Georgia, taking part in social action in one of the most interesting and diverse cities in the United States.
Finally, if you are planning on Year Course, you will take part in some very special and meaningful programs that will help to prepare you for your year to come.
National Midwinter Convention will be held at a wonderful camp called Camp Twin Lakes: Will-a-Way about an hour outside of Atlanta, GA over Presidents’ Day Weekend (February 17-20th, 2017). If you are interested in seeing what the camp looks like, click here. Every year, Jewish teen leaders and high school students, grades 9-12, have gathered to observe Shabbat together and take part in a program focusing on Zionism, Pluralism, Tikkun Olam, and tangible leadership skills.
NOTE: For those arranging travel – All flights for convention should arrive at the Atlanta International Airport (ATL) on Friday, February 17th between 9:30am and 12pm EDT & depart on Monday, February 20th between 5:30pm and 7:00pm EDT. Please indicate your arrival and departure method even if you have not yet booked your flight.
