Young Judaea is looking for Engagement Coordinator in the Northeast
Young Judaea is looking for a dynamic, friendly, and outgoing Engagement Coordinator to engage with teens and young adults about our menu of Israel programs both from within and without of the Young Judaea organization.
This includes generating leads and recruiting participants for Young Judaea’s programs in Israel, following up with program alumni and positioning Young Judaea within the Jewish communities located in the Northeast.
The Engagement Coordinator will be based in New York and report directly to Young Judaea’s Director of Year Round programs. This is a great opportunity for a dynamic and entrepreneurial self-starter with a love of Israel, Jewish values to positively influence Jewish youth in North America by encouraging them to participate on long- and short-term programs in Israel.
Engagement Coordinator must be committed to achieving measurable results and holding her/himself accountable for producing them.
Execute the goals and priorities assigned by the Director of Year Round Programs
Maintain deep knowledge of all YJ program offerings
Generate and qualify leads for potential program participants
Assist in building a recruitment plan for new arts based Israel program and implement
Regularly work with database/CRM to identify leads and follow-up
Contact and meet guidance and career counselors, teachers, and other influencers to explain benefits of each program
Provide information regarding admission requirements and program benefits to prospective participants and parents via phone, e-mail and personal visits; follow up with e-mail or phone call, as appropriate
Attend and help build National and local Young Judaea activities to build relationships with Young Judaeans to engage them in our programming opportunities.
Plan, coordinate and organize individual in-home meetings, information sessions and webinars for potential participants
Produce follow-up reports regarding activities and future plans
Execute tasks related to the implementation of marketing and communications strategies
Maintain relationships with local alumni in order to engage them in the recruitment process.
Network in targeted communities, develop and maintain relationships with key partners, influencers, and prospects
Ability to work independently
Exceptional organizational ability, fast learner, with a positive attitude
Excellent customer service skills
Willingness to travel, work flexible hours, including evenings and some weekends
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in all situations
Past Israel experience and an understanding of the importance of the longer term Israel experience in the life of the Jewish teen and young adult
Knowledge of registration systems and Excel a plus.
Comfortable with social media platforms including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and the next great thing.
Young Judaea experience is a plus.
