Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design or another related field; or 3 years related experience

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral

  • Knowledge and experience in the areas of customer service, organization, office administration, writing, & social media

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools

  • Israel experiences and a basic knowledge of the Hebrew language

  • A professional and creative style; the ability to take initiative, and to manage multiple tasks and projects at a time

  • Flexible and adaptable style; willing to engage in all areas of camp

  • Willingness to take direction, learn, and improve

  • Ability to work independently with a list of responsibilities as well as take initiative to make all areas of camp run easier and more efficiently while also provide support to others

General Responsibilities

This position is responsible for executing strategic marketing communications across multiple platforms. This includes communicating to current and potential program participants, their families, stakeholders, community leaders, organizational partners and the general public related to CYJ. Also, this position is responsible for running the office and all administrative responsibilities related to office organization and efficiency as well as registration in various programs.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Maintain and execute the CYJ Marketing and Communications Calendar

  • Assign contact tasks for communications and marketing materials to colleagues and follow up on delivery

  • Oversee the maintenance, coordination and use of camp databases and lists for use in content delivery

  • Plan, write, and design mass and targeted communications, in both digital and print media

  • Develop and produce a wide variety of print marketing collateral for program and events including flyers, fact sheets, and brochure. Coordinating content development with other team members as required.

  • Update and enhance website pages

  • Plan, write and post content to blogs

  • Execute and track social media activity

  • Coordinate projects with outside vendors, including graphic designers and printers

  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics (web analytics, social media insights)

  • Sending out all camper, parent, and retreat communications

  • Manage the Office

  • Order supplies as needed

  • Set-up food/beverages for meetings

  • Communicate with the Landlord and vendors

  • Stock the copy machine, fax, and printers with paper daily

  • Answer phone calls and emails

  • Manage lists and run reports

  • Provide administrative support for the Camp Director as needed. This will include (however, not limited to) running errands, picking up materials, and sending of correspondence

  • Keep databases up to date with parent, camper & reatreat participant information

  • Oversee the Scholarship process

    • Communicate with parents about the scholarship process

    • Communicate with the scholarship committee chair about the allocation of money

    • Attend scholarship meetings

  • Camp and CYJ Program Registration

    • Process all registrations

    • Charge parents for fees

    • Communicate with parents/participants about the registration process

  • Communications

    • Monthly e-newsletter

    • Parent and camper letters

    • Donor letters and brochures

    • Design and order gifts for campers

  • These are not the only duties to be performed. Some duties may be reassigned and other duties may be assigned as required

Working Conditions

  • Monday thru Thursday 8:30 am – 5:30 pm (depart office on Fridays at 4:00 pm)

  • During the summer months, some Sundays may be required.
